Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ScanMe. By creating a card or signing in, you agree to what's written here. We've kept the language plain — if something is unclear, email support@scanme.sbs and we'll explain.

The service

ScanMe lets you create a digital business card you can share as a link or QR code and save to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The same card doubles as a link-in-bio page — you can add your social profiles (Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, Threads, GitHub) and a short list of custom links (for example: a booking page or online store).

Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe.
• You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use ScanMe.
• One person or organization per account, please.

Plans, billing & cancellation

• Basic is free and includes a small "Powered by ScanMe" promo on your card.
• Pro is $0.99/month with the first 6 months free. We don't take payment details until the trial ends; you can cancel any time during the trial and pay nothing.
• VIP is $2.99/month, billed monthly.
• VIP Plus is a custom plan for teams — pricing is agreed by email.
• Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. Cancelling stops future charges; we don't refund the current period unless required by law.
• Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number.
• All prices are in US dollars and exclusive of local taxes where applicable.

Your content & responsibilities

• You own everything you put on your card — text, photos, social handles, and custom links. By uploading it, you grant us a limited license to host and display it so the service can work.
• You confirm you have the right to publish every item on your card (including photos, logos, and names).
• You won't use ScanMe for spam, phishing, fraud, impersonation, harassment, malware distribution, adult or illegal content, or to promote harm to people or animals.
• You're responsible for every link you add. Links must go to lawful destinations — we may remove cards that link to harmful, deceptive, or illegal material.
• You won't try to disrupt, probe, exploit, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.

Our content

The ScanMe name, logo, website, templates, and software are ours. You may use the service to build and share your own card, but you can't copy our branding or resell the platform.

Wallet providers

Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are third-party services with their own terms. Availability, pass rendering, and update behavior depend on your device, region, and those providers. We don't control when they accept, refresh, or remove a pass.

Suspension & termination

You can delete your card or close your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, especially if they put other users or the service at risk. Where reasonable and lawful, we'll let you know why.

Service availability

We aim for high uptime but we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update features, change plans with notice, or pause the service for maintenance.

Disclaimer & limits

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or loss of data arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. For material changes, we'll update the date at the top and give you reasonable notice before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
